Configure Advanced Cross-Match
Full outer join: Every record contains ALL columns from both files.
Uses enterprise-grade string similarity: Jaro-Winkler (fast & accurate for names/IDs) or Levenshtein (highest precision). Hybrid exact-first logic, length pruning, pre-sorting, and early-exit on near-perfect matches deliver lightning-fast results even on 100k+ rows.
Only base-file rows are kept (left join). Lookup columns are added where the matching key is found exactly. No extra rows from the lookup file are appended. Perfect for traditional Excel VLOOKUP / INDEX MATCH workflows while still supporting full outer join when disabled.
Key Data Cleaning (fixes most mismatches)
Automatically cleans “ABC-123”, “ABC123”, “ 123 ”, phone numbers, etc. — dramatically improves real-world matching accuracy.

How MAXHUB CrossMerge works
Enterprise-grade full outer join with native Excel VLOOKUP / INDEX MATCH support + advanced fuzzy algorithms:
- VLOOKUP / INDEX MATCH style exact matching (left join): Only base-file rows are kept. Lookup columns are added where the matching key exists exactly — classic Excel behavior.
- Advanced fuzzy matching algorithms: Hybrid exact-first + Jaro-Winkler (fast & accurate) or Levenshtein (highest precision) with length pruning, pre-sorting, and early-exit optimization.
- Automatic key data cleaning: Removes punctuation, standardizes numeric IDs, trims whitespace, ignores case — fixes most real-world mismatches automatically.
- Smart deduplication: Configurable keep-first / keep-last / merge strategy on the matching key before merging.
